At
Countryside Montessori Elementary (CME), our teaching focuses on
each individual child. Children learn at their own pace and in their
own way. Teachers are mentors and guides who awaken all of the
child's senses using Montessori methods and materials.
Countryside Montessori is a
tuition-free, not for profit, first through sixth grade public,
charter school. CME emphasizes the Montessori philosophy within the
accountability and framework of the Florida State
standards.
To
meet the needs of our students, we put nearly all of our resources into
our classrooms. Some of the more unique features in our school

All classrooms have two lead teachers.
An
Interactive hands-on learning environment.
Many lessons are given in small, ability-based
groups.
Individualized learning plans are developed
for every student, supported by continuous assessment of
student performance.
Our mission is to support and facilitate the
holistic development of children by stimulating the growth of the
mind, body and spirit of each individual child using the educational
philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.
